Still Hangin' In...

I'm still here, I don't know too much other than I've had my medications upped. An improvement in the amount of chest pain I'm having. The medication is handling it, but without it, I'm not functioning too well. So a new beta blocker (slows down the heart pumping action, and keeps blood pressure down) and increased vessel expanders and I'm doing day to day things. I can't carry anything of much weight, but my energy level is still pretty good. I go back to my cardiologist the middle of June, and of course the stand-by option of heading to the emergency room if things take a change for the worse.

To look at me you wouldn't know that I'm having problems. It's always been this way. I don't like to be "down and out" about my health. I'm slowing down on my antique business, having left one store, so now I'm just in one place with several booths. Right now I'm focusing on selling what I have, cleaning out my stashes of "stuff" inside and in the garage, and simplifying life in general.

I love you all and I'm hoping to be back to this soon. I'm taking things day-by-day and I will post when the Holy Spirit gives me the "word" to share. Thank you for all your prayers, and good thoughts. I'm confident in God's healing power and great love, so I'm not in dispair or frightened for my life. Just waiting and listening and thankful that He's there.

love in Jesus,
Debra

  2. Sweet friend~

Today I'm praying specifically for your HEART to heal! I know what you are experiencing may seem big to you but YOU OF ALL PEOPLE know it isn't for our God. Jesus is in the healing business! :)

I've never had heart problems and I pray I never do. My Momma does tho and it has all been very scary so I truly feel for you. I've gone through several health-scares, but nothing like what you are dealing with. For this I am so grateful and thankful.

Seems like all of us have some sort of malady, doesn't it? :( Keeps me on my knees for those I love... Don't forget that includes you~

    Blessings dear one~

    Love, Rebecca

  3. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. I am reading Thelma Wells Rise and Shine. Have you read it? Thought I would let you know this because after reading you post about not reading fiction I decided I need to read less fiction and more Godly books. I saw Thelma Wells at the Winsome Women's retreat and of coarse they were selling books. I bought 2 one for me and one for my daughter about depression. Thank you Debra for being a great influence on my life.

  4. Just dropped in and am so sorry to hear about your heart issue, Deb. Can I pray for you?

"Father, touch Debra in a mighty way. I plead the blood of Jesus over her heart and declare that no weapon formed against her will prosper. I ask for her complete healing, God, knowing that nothing is impossible for You. Keep her in Your perfect peace as she trusts You in the outcome of all this, Lord. Make Yourself real to her and allow her to sense Your presence continually surrounding her. Orchestrate Your will in this situation. In Jesus' precious name, Amen."

    Hugs to you!

  5. hi, just dropped by your blog cause my sister won your giveaway. Just want to share what builds up my faith when I go through trials. I look for a verse that speaks to me and addresses my concern and memorize it, say it aloud to myself claiming it. A physicist told me recently that "atoms obey" so speak to your heart and command it to be healed in Jesus name. I just came from the doctor myself but I will never give up believing that God's word is true and that divine health is His will for us. Be blessed always!

  8. I recently came across your blog and found your second blog about God and his Love and your desire to be obedient to Him. I love it and check in daily. Please do everything you can to relieve any stress in your life. I ditto all the above prayers for you and especially that God is a Healer and that we have the power to speak healing into ourselves in Jesus's name. It's great to reach out for prayer from your friends and sisters in Christ. You have a lot of prayer warriors praying for you. Keep us posted but take it easy and rest in Him.
