"Weekend Update"

I've been praying and thinking about posting here on the Bible Study for the weekends. I have to admit that this has really kept me "hoppin'" this week. Posting everyday has been amazing for me. I made a commitment to God that I would post every day, as that is in my heart to do so.

I also know that there has been a lot to "chew" on this week, as I hope there will be EVERY week. So what I will do is to put out a post for every Saturday and Sunday so everyone can have time to "catch up". That way if you haven't had a chance to read or comment and you'd like to do so, I will have a place for you to do that.

If you leave a comment about any of the daily posts, just reference which one it is, then click to come back to the current weekend one. There are some wonderful comments pertaining to previous posts and I don't want you to miss ANY of them.

SO, Saturdays and Sundays, just leave a  comment on the "Weekend Comments" Saturday post, as it will be up until Monday morning. Sound good?

Thank you everyone for sticking with me. It's sort of been a "whirlwind" for me this last week, but a really good one. For every "aha" moment I've had and at times feeling like I really need to do better, it has been a joy to share with you, what God is sharing with me.

Hugs and Blessings,
See you Monday morning!

Debra

  1. Hi Debra. That sounds perfect to me. The lessons are all so important and I can really tell that my heart and mind have opened up by the grace of God to understand more. The way you guide us through the post really makes it easy to understand. I really don't know how to explain it, but it's like when you try to start reading your bible after being away from it and you don't feel like you comprehending anything. Then all of a sudden the flood gates open and your prayers are answered and the words are sticking and not just floating out the other ear.

Now I'm thinking, I'm making this all about me again but the fact is I don't know anyone else's heart or thoughts so I can only speak for me.

As much as the teaching does for us I think that the comments of the whole group give us many aspects to think about, other views to consider. I really enjoy this part too. I love to go over the comments.

Debra, I hope your taking care of your health as much as you are taking care and ministering to us. Thank you for following Gods calling. You are certainly an answer to my prayer.

    Much love, Tracy

  2. Hi Debra,

Thank you for all that you do. I love the weekend comments too. I love what you write and how you share, but I like reading what others are feeling too - it helps me see things in a new light hearing their feelings. Sometimes I can't get to the blog, and now I can "catch up" and not miss anything. :-)

    Many hugs,
    Elizabeth

  3. I agree with Tracy & Elizabeth....A lot of meaty teaching this week which was awesome.
    Thank you Debra
I find in the comments so many shared thoughts that are similar and unique to the Body of Christ collectivelly.

Also I so enjoy each persons perspective and how different pieces touch each of us individually.
    Hugs, GG

  4. Hi Everyone, Elizabeth has left some wonderful comments, and she has lost of some of them out in cyberspace. I know the frustration that can cause. Here's her post script about it.

Elizabeth Maxson has left a new comment on your post "Digging Deeper":

    P.S.

Just wanted you to know that every time I post my comments they never go through the first time. Many times they are lost. I have learned to copy my comments before I post because they get erased and then all I have to do is copy them back in when I try again. You might want to check your comment link. Does anyone else have problems?

  5. I spoke with my computer whiz husband(who works with computers all day, has built websites etc. I'ts part of his job) about this problem of losing our comments, because I think we all have had that happen to us, some more than others. I wanted to see if my "blog commenter thingy" was needing a good kick in the pants. I don't want that to happen to any of you for fear that you may find that it's too frustrating to waste time with a comment. Here's a run down of how he explained to me the problem of lost comments.
If you are working on a laptop your chances of losing a comment are much easier. Quadruple that if you leave a more indepth one. Laptops, and all pcs are prone to momentary problems of being "knocked off" the internet, but with laptops it's much easier and more frequent. A phone call, or more probably a glitch in the bloghost or internet can cause a problem. All blogs are created equal. It's the computer itself (belonging to the one who is leaving the comment) that will most likely be the source of the problem. I have a laptop and a regular (wired) computer. 9 times out of 10 if I lose the comment it's when I'm on my laptop. He said the longer we are on the "comment site" and working the more time we have for something to go wrong. He suggested going to Microsoft "Word" or the equivalent thereof, to write it out, and then copy to the "comment" section. Also good, because it's then easier to have access to our own comments, if in-depth.
OK, not trying to get off the hook, but I have found this to be so right in my experience. Also, some times my bloghost (Blogger.com)and internet server(?) have problems. Some days it's no problem at all, other times, I'm constantly having to reboot the computer just to get a connection.
I'm really sorry if there have been problems in the past. I think we all have this issue from time to time
Elizabeth, thank you for bringing this up, I know it's a real hassle to deal with. I'm so glad you aren't miffed.
love to all, hope this helps,
    Debra

  6. Hi Debra
I have been thinking of you and how much work this is to post everyday and yes I know it is a blessing but a lot of commitment too. I think the weekend comment schedule is terrific. You are such a gem, thank you

  7. I think this is a great idea. We can have more time to study the past weeks scripture and be ready to start again on Monday. I stop in everyday after work and make notes but do not always get to absorb it all as I should. And Debra a little rest never hurt anyone.

  8. Thanks Debra! Yes, 99% of the time I am on the lap top and about 99.99% of the time, I am blabbing a long comment :-) As you can see, I am persistent enough to want to get my blabbing out I take the effort to copy it first since it usually doesn't go through the first time....hahahaha. Thanks for check into it.

    Love
    E

  9. Hi Debra. I have had a message come up saying something like it didn't send my comment ~ can't remember the exact wording, but I just hit the send button and it goes right through. The first time it happen was the day I broke my post into 2 because I thought it was too long is why it didn't send. But now I realize it is because, like your husband said, the longer I am in the commenting section the more apt it is to do this. But typing elsewhere and coping is not a bad idea at all.

I hope you have a restful night and a peaceful Sunday. Stay warm.

    Hugs....Tracy :)

  10. Hello Debra,
I was thinking how busy you must be doing God's work. It must be rewarding for you. God Bless you for posting everyday. I find it hard to post every 10 days or so... Blessings, sandi
